How to Think About Your Competitor Slide for Your Pitch Deck

Shine as a founder on this slide.


Don’t say “I don’t have competitors”.


This is simply not true.


Even if you are new in the space, some customers are paying for something similar.

For example, if you are offering the first bread slider, your competitor would be the knife.


Or the first cinema’s competitors would be hiking trails, concerts, or at-home movies.

If you have no competitor in any form, then it means something bad:

❌ There is no market for what you are selling.

You need to think about how your customers are currently solving the problem you are trying to solve and what differentiating factor you bring to the table.
